. . . That this would become an anti-Sarah Palin blog?
I just can’t keep quiet about this one. Palin mentioned in several speeches last week and this week that Barack Obama has been “Pallin’ around with terrorists.” This refers to his association with Bill Ayers who was involved in anarchist activity in the sixties. She made those comments despite her criticism of Joe Biden’s “Bringin’ up ancient history” during the vice presidential debate.
In addition, and more pertinent, she made those comments despite the fact that up until 2002 (the year she ran for Lieutenant Governor) her husband was a member of Alaska Independence Party, a political party whose chief objective is for Alaska to depart from the United States.
The group was founded in the 1970s by Joe Vogler who at the time said “I’m an Alaskan, not an American. I have no use for America or her damned institutions.” That doesn’t sound very patriotic to me. Neither does “The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred of the US government. And I won’t be buried under their damn flag. . . when Alaska is an independent nation they can bring my bones home.” And he said that too.
There is no indication Sarah Palin was ever a member of the group or shared its ideology, but her husband was a member, and with all those kids it’s safe to say she has “palled around with him.” And she did attend a couple of the Alaska Independence Party’s conventions, and as recently as this year, sent a video-taped speech to their convention in which she said “Good luck on a successful and inspiring convention. Keep up the good work, and God bless you.”
And yet she accuses others of hanging out with people who may qualify as domestic terrorists. What’s sauce for the goose, dear . . .

When the going gets tough narrow-minded hicks like Sarah Palin always turn to fear. Fear of that scary “black” man. Fear of that “terrorist” Muslim (still am puzzled why people think he’s a Muslim, when he’s a Christian, and I thought all these fundamental “Christians” wanted a Christian in office, isn’t that why they go ga-ga over Failin’?) Fear of that “liberal”.
Republicans are good at spreading fear. And it works every time.

Obama’s “affiliation” was tenuous at best, they were both
on a board for a charity or non-profit and barely
knew each other…as Obama has said repeatedly, he
was in elementary school when all that was going on…

Kind of like Palin’s nasty comment that she has been watching Biden in Congress since she was in second grade. She’s such a fucking hypocrite. McCain did not look vital to me last night; I could easily imagine him kicking the bucket within 4 years (I know, that’s mean, but…). Then she sweeps in and ruins this country, nay, the world. You know, the Mayans predicted the world would end in 2012. I wonder if they foresaw this crazy chick as the catalyst.

While I have no conclusive evidence to this, I highly doubt that the debates actually change the minds of voters to select one candidate over another if they had previously made a decision.
And those voters who have not already made a decision obviously need to get their act together and figure it out.
